Exploring Trauma Through a Strengths Based Perspective

September 28 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

$40

Women’s Supportive Space

Join Natalie at the Glenroy Neighbourhood House for a session titled:

“Exploring Trauma Through a Strengths Based Perspective”

Are you open to exploring a different perspective on trauma?

Rather than viewing trauma as something overwhelmingly heavy, let’s infuse it with a sense of lightness.

I’ve developed a workshop for those ready to embrace a more trauma-informed and capacity-building approach.

Traditional systems often keep individuals trapped in victimhood rather than fostering empowerment and healing at their own pace.

This workshop aims to enhance your knowledge and prioritize healing for your ultimate well-being, emphasizing that you are not in need of fixing rather from a humanistic point of view.

Aim of the Workshop:

A comprehensive presentation focusing on trauma, its effect on individuals, and practical approaches to facilitate the healing journey.

What you will gain from attending this workshop:

  • An understanding of trauma and its various forms
  • Insights into the body’s and mind’s responses to trauma
  • Exploration of stress responses
  • Identification of personal reactions to stress
  • Techniques for managing triggers and stress effectively
  • Strategies for enhancing coping mechanisms
  • Examination of the fight, flight, and freeze responses
  • Psychoeducation on regulating the nervous system
  • An overview of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and complex PTSD (CPTSD)
  • Development of a personalized routine and planning for subsequent steps
  • Discussion of diverse therapeutic methods
  • And much more…
